a window display project for Gucci
After an application, I was chosen from more than 500 applicants to submit a showcase project and be able to move forward in the selection process.
Starting with the theme of FW18, a cybernetic world, and the location of the runway, which is inside a large operating room with beds, green sheets and neon lights, I tried to rework these two concepts into my project.
For the first step, I made a moodboard with images of the catwalk, the operating room, and the veil concept (inspired by a cape seen in the fashion show). The next step was to find the elements needed to furnish the showcase. The first was a veil cocoon with a zipper that holds the items to be displayed like a “dust bag”; the second was a set of magnifying glasses; and the third was cylindrical displays. Having identified these elements, it was easy to create different proposals for the different items.
The design and declination of the same concept in different display cases allowed me to be selected from more than 100 applicants to proceed and interview for a job.
